Cream of Broccoli Soup
10 minutes preparation
20 minutes cooking
1 cup fresh or thawed broccoli
3/4 cup water
2 T. chopped onion
1 chicken bouillon cube
1/4 t. crushed dried marjoram or thyme
dash of garlic powder
In a sauce pan stir together above ingredients. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer mixture for 10 minutes.
Place vegetable mixture in a blender or food processor.
Cover and process for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until mixture is smooth.

In the same saucepan melt the butter. Stir in the flour and pepper.
Add milk all at once. Cook and stir over medium heat till the mixture
is thickened and bubbly.
Cook and stir 1 minute more.
Gradually stir in the hot veggie mixture.
Cook and stir till heated through. Make 2 side-dish servings.
